This round orb glass vase was made using murrine, small pieces of coloured glass that are used to create repetitions and patterns within the glass.
 
The round form allows for beautiful patterned shadows when lit from above. 
 
This was made in Southern Alberta by internationally trained glass artist Melony Stieben.
